The food and service were wonderful. I was happy to see friends i haven't seen in a while and this was the perfect spot.

Huckleberry's is a pretty solid chain breakfast and brunch! It has a Louisiana/New Orleans theme. The other nearest location is probably Fairfield. Unlike the Fairfield location, I have been able to get seated in a reasonable time at the Benicia location. They're popular, but not to the point of waiting 45+ minutes. I believe they're only open during breakfast/brunch times. Parking isn't too difficult if you don't mind walking a little from the main part of the parking center lot. The corner by Huckleberry's is often full. Ive been a couple times and the quality and service have been consistently good. Of the foods I'd recommend the fried green tomatoes and fried okra for starters. They're also one of few places offering beignets. For entrees the crab cake Benedict is good. The portions are filling. Ambiance is very casual. The utensils come in a little paper pouch and the napkins are paper towels on a dowel at each table. This particular location can look a bit dim. I think it's because of the direction of the windows. It's tasty and if you've been to Huckleberry's before you won't be disappointed by this one either.

One of my favorite breakfast places! We always order beignets to start (highly recommend) and then normally get a savory dish to split. I love the crab Benedict but my boyfriend prefers the andouille sausage. If you're into sweet coffee then take advantage of their Carmel macchiato or mocha with their fresh whip cream. If you prefer a sweet fruity drink then their lemonades with a sugar rim will be right up your alley. As big of a Disneyland nerd I am, I love coming here to act like I'm in New Orleans square lol! The ambiance just makes me happy. As for the service, it was fast & kind! Didn't feel rushed at all.

We had been aware of Huckleberry's but had never gone before. We had assumed it was an analog of Denny's, which it was definitely not. Tucked away in the back of the Southhampton shopping center, we were surprised that it was much larger than it seemed and had a funky southern charm and decor. They only do breakfast and lunch. The breakfast choices aren't a carbon copy of other places. Instead of a straight egg Benedict, they have a crab-cake Benedict. It was tasty, but I'll explore some other variations on a Benedict next time. The others in our group explored the skillet hotties, which got a solid thumbs up. They also had variations on Mimosas that were a fun change of pace. The place was very crowded and busy, but our server was still attentive and kept everything flowing. We will definitely check them out again.

Once you're seated at Huckleberry's the delicious food, time warp theme, and quick service is beyond expectation. It took a lot more time than usual to be greeted and seated (they seemed a little understaffed i.e the server was also host). Also, to be fair, my partner and I walked in on a disgruntled interaction that the server was recovering from so ofc we understood why we were missed at first. Once we sat in a large, comfy booth we looked over the exciting list of NOLA-inspired dishes, filled with your delightful favorites like omelettes and breakfast platters with a Louisiana twist. We were served and treated with the utmost custimer service. We came with an appetite and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. My belly was so wide eyed that I forgot to take a pic of my Riverboat omelette! I did remember to get one of my half of stuffed french toast with strawberry topping (we shared). Overall, I plan to return to try out their lunch menu. Whats not to love!

8/11/24 - I was treated out to breakfast to celebrate my cousin who is making a big move to San Francisco to be closer to his job site. As soon as we walked in we were seated. Our waitress asked us about beverages and all five of us got coffee. The waitress let us take our time with the menus because we were engrossed in a conversation about the streets of San Francisco. That is our hometown and the young man moving there was born there but left to move to Vallejo with his parents. I didn't know what to order everything sounded good!!!! I finally decided on an omelette so I opted for the Riverboat. I thought I read the description well, but was surprised to see chili beans and sauce on my omelette. It was very good and came with your choice of red potatoes or hash browns and toast. I opted for hash browns & sourdough toast. The hash browns were very, very good. Most places I have been to the hash browns taste like cardboard, but these were real potatoes and the sourdough toast was good even without the jelly. I noticed that the place was exceptionally busy. Lots of families with grandparents starting their day with a good breakfast. I wanted to try the Huckleberry's in my city but the parking lot was full and from that I surmised that the food must be good!!! Stay tuned I will get there one of these days. The place had a real country & southern feel to it. I looked up and there was a crocodile maybe he was coming from the bayou. I did see a couple drinking some swamp tea. The prices were reasonable & comparable to other restaurants and cafes. It feels good being loved and treated to the simple pleasures of life!!!!

After completing a notary signing, my husband and I usually stop in for a bite to eat. My favorite dish is the Crab Cake Benedict. My husband ordered the New Orleans Skillet. Both were delicious and well prepared. I'd like to direct the manager's attention to our server, Perin. From the minute we were seated, Perin was friendly and energetic. I wish more servers were personable like Perin. He was extremely attentive to our needs and checked on us frequently. Unlike Perin, however, the hostess could not be found when we were trying to pay our bill. This isn't the first time we experienced one of her disappearing acts. In the end, Perin had to do her job too! Manager please take note that this young man is juggling many work duties in addition to his own!
